Special Event Dining: The Magic Carpet is a bar that is suspended over the side of the ship that converts into a restaurant on certain nights during the cruise. You may find this in the Celebrity App for your sailing. It is called Dinner on the Edge, and there is an upcharge for this. Check your cruise app to see if lunch or dinner on the Magic Carpet are offered on your itinerary.  Magic Carpet Restaurant: Seafood Cruise Ship Dining

NOTE: The prices for the specialty restaurants may change per sailing. There may also be opportunities to pay in advance for discounted prices.

What’s the Dress Code for the Celebrity Beyond Dining Options?

NO: Swimwear, swim cover-ups, robes, tank tops, flip flops, t-shirts, shorts or baseball caps are not acceptable attire for any dining venue that is considered a “restaurant” where you go inside and sit down at a table setting and wait to be served.

There are no strict dress code requirements in all other more casual venues like the Oceanview café, the Spa Café, or the Mast Grill (except you may have to wear a shirt and shoes). However, the Spa Café is inside the Solarium and the Mast Grill is poolside so . . .

Caveats!

  • The Craft Social is a Sports Bar. I saw people wearing regular sports bar clothes, such as shorts, t-shirts, jerseys, and ball caps.
  • I think that the acceptable attire rules in restaurants are about presentation.  For example, while flip-flops are prohibited, that doesn’t mean all thong sandals are prohibited. My favorite worn out concert t-shirt might be prohibited, where my new monochrome t-shirt worn under a jacket or sweater may not be.
  • The 10-Day Celebrity Beyond sailing we took generally had a Smart Casual dress code. Two out of the 10 nights were designated as Evening Chic. Some people got all decked out in formal style on evening chic night (evening gowns and such). We didn’t.
  • There was also an 80’s party in the club one night, and a more general shiny clothing party on the pool deck another night – not everyone participated in these dress up nights. I don’t know how people knew about these themed nights in advance. Maybe the information was on the app and I missed it.

Bonus Tips and Celebrity Beyond Dining Options

  • The 4 Main Dining Rooms do not require reservations and may not accept reservations. However, if you have a large group or want to sit in a certain section of the restaurant, I recommend you contact the restaurant to ask if they will make a reservation or arrive early.
  • Room Service is 24 hours a day
    1. Continental Breakfast is complimentary – no service charges or delivery fee
    2. All other room service orders are a $9.95 fee plus 18% gratuity per order (not per person or item). We paid $11.94 for our huge traditional breakfast order.
  • Café El Baccio on 4th floor offers small breakfast sandwiches, small lunch sandwiches, and snacks (cakes, cookies, and pastries) from 6:30 am -11:30 pm. They may open at 6:00 am on some days.
  • Oceanview Café has a small pasta station that is open from 12:00 pm – 9:30 pm, and a pizza station in the back from 12:00pm – 1:00 am
  • Craft Social is a small, crowded place with slow service.
  • You can find out what dining venues are open on the Celebrity Beyond app
  • You will also get daily newsletters that show what is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I hope this information helps you navigate the Celebrity Beyond dining options, and decide where to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner on your Celebrity Cruise sailing!
